Dripping Springs Students Honored by Optimist Club

Local Dripping Springs High School students were recently honored by The Capital Area Chapter of Optimist Club International during their 36th Annual Youth Appreciation Week. This ceremony was held in the Chamber of the Texas House of Representatives. Dripping Springs had 33 nominees in 22 categories. These nominees competed against other central Texas schools, including Westlake High School, Round Rock, Hays, and many others. Dripping Springs had three students win their respective category. Congratulations to the following winners!!

In the category of Business: Patrick McAfee

In the category of Computer Science: Miranda Parker

In the category Vocal Music: Wallis Currie-Wood

On another “note” Wallis Currie-Wood has been admitted as a vocal student to Julliard!
