Documentary Features Dripping Springs WW II Vets
The Hays County Historical Commission will show its latest documentary, Hays County in World War II, Wednesday, June 6 at the Army Airfield Hangar located within the San Marcos Airport. The film features Dripping Springs residents Travis Garnett and Bradley Davis. View the film at 7:00 p.m. and see the historic planes on display at the hangar. Admission is free. Excellence in Education
The Dripping Springs High School list of “Top 10” students by academic rank for the Class of 2012, including the valedictorian and salutatorian, has been announced by Principal Kim Cousins.
The top-ranked senior and valedictorian for the Class of 2012 is Mary Godwin and the salutatorian is Allison Kovar. Other students ranked among the top 10 are (in order): Elisabeth Artz, Willow Howard, Elizabeth Spears, Caitlin Bonner, Amanda Oliphant, Gabrielle Hurley, Nicole Rice and Kevin Addamo. Godwin and Addamo also were National Merit finalists. The top ten students achieved a grade point average of 103.9 or higher.
